![]() Only gripe I have is that motes cannot be gained more often than every 2 seconds. Crits about 40% of the time (this is dependant on your spell crit rating though). This is because, as others have stated, the proc receives benefit from all talants that increase fire spell damage, as long as the talents are not restricted to a specific spell. Destruction warlocks and fire mages are going to want to bid max DKP on this. And this is in no a way a post trying to claim that the item is any better for class A than class B, but casters who primarily use Fire spells WILL get slightly more out of it. Long story short whether this gets some benefit from talents and such or none whatsoever it's still an amazing trinket and the more haste and crit you have the more this will add to your dps.ĪNY dps caster can make use of this be it mage, lock, priest, moonkin, or shamanĬomment by 172622VERY good trinket for any and all spell casters. Unless there was a change from the older models, aside from damage type and stats, you can gain motes as quick as you can crit, aoe included, once you reach 3 it'll fire off dealing damage to the 3rd crit victim, once it fires it goes on a 2 second cooldown in which you cannot gain any motes, after the 2 second cooldown you can gain motes as fast as possible again. Taken from the 1.0 and 2.0 versions of this trinket they benefited from shaman talents specifically addressed to lightning damage and seeing as this deals fire damage it may be fair to speculate that talents such as Fire power, Earth and Moon, and the like will increase the damage as well. N.B Partially copied from Catina and Nara's comments from TLC page.Įdit: (07/09) Added more info about talents and spell gfx.Ĭomment by hashmelif priest dot "crits" are anything like lock dot "crits" they don't actually crit rather the damage is applied twice so i doubt this would proc off them but that is purely speculation. Talents that increase fire damage increase the proc damage, e.g Molten Fury, Emberstorm and Molten Core (as of 3.2) DoT crits do not proc motes (as of 3.2) Crits from Pillar of Flame will not generate additional charges Unlike the TLC the motes do have a 2 second CD between each mote proc rather than just having a CD between pillars Crit chance is affected by your chance to crit with spells Proc always shoots at the target which generated the last charge and not your current target ![]() Proc doesn't need you to face your target Is affected by debuffs on mobs (Misery, etc. Proc damage enchanced by buffs that increase damage, such as Storm Power Pillar of Flame proc has no spell graphics, i.e proc appears invisible (as of 3.2) Horde version can be found here.Īs stated before, it's basically the newest incarnation of The Lightning Capacitor. This is the Alliance form of the trinket. Comment by 311190Drops off Anub'arak 25 Normal mode. ![]()
